My problem is that I can OC my 1070 to around 4300mhz (memory clock) with the KFA2 EX edition, but another person can reach about 4900mhz stable. I checked it up. I have the microm memory, while he has a Samsung. I updated the BIOS and the memory OC didn’t change. But now the minimum fan speed is 50% in the afterburner instead of 25%, and if I leave it on stock/auto it stays at 50% rather than 0%. Any suggestions? Thanks.,

The memory speed. I resolved the fan problem using a different version of that BIOS.

Overclocking can be the chance or the risk, the silicon lottery—you either get lucky or not. It seems like you didn’t. If you dive into detailed OC guides, you might discover methods to extract more performance.

Remains at 4300mhz with some at 4900... it's quite a noticeable gap. Not focusing on the main clock which is also lower, but it's typical for the core.
