You can purchase GTA V for €36 from the Humble Store, but enjoying online play without friends around isn’t necessarily fun.

No, unless you're ready to give a hacker $10 for $1 billion, just like I did

It's not particularly enjoyable playing solo online. I appreciate the free roam events, but they usually last around 30 minutes. The real value comes from story mode.

I understand you prefer Story mode, though you haven’t tried Online yet.

I’ll share my thoughts on this. If you enjoy grinding through tough races, repetitive missions, and heists just to earn money for a car, then online might suit you. Unless you opt for in-game cash—like $100 for 8 million in-game currency—and skip the hassle of buying a house or garage to park your vehicles. I remember when I first started, I exploited every glitch to quickly get money. Even after patches, it took me hours selling the same car repeatedly just to hit 20 million. When the first free DLC came out, I spent everything because most DLC items are expensive. It’s all about paying for cash cards to buy cars, houses, and tanks.

Online interactions can be enjoyable with friends or involve random encounters.

You can make a million each week through other means, not just heists or VIP jobs. Combine them and your earnings grow rapidly.

I mainly play solo since I enjoy installing car modifications and using LSPDFR!

I strongly suggest playing with friends. Join the LFG subforum or look for another group that meets regularly—such as REBL on Reddit—or any similar community if needed. Solo online play won’t be very rewarding. Still, it’s possible to progress on your own by completing missions, jobs, and races, earning money through them. The biggest rewards come from 4-man heists. Story mode with mods is always available, and multiplayer mods like FiveM or GTAV:MP are commonly found.
