Add a little extra to the GTA VRAM bar! It still shows 3.1GB even though my card is just 2GB.

Your problem probably lies with the GPU. However, a friend of mine had the same issue until he swapped his SSD for an HDD, which resolved it—then he discovered the SSD was faulty. First, verify the read speeds on your HDD. Another solution I've encountered is setting the game's priority to HIGH in the task manager. If the HDD is functioning well and adjusting the priority doesn't help, then the GPU is likely the cause.

It's likely due to differences in gameplay mechanics or server configurations between GTA Online and Story Mode.

Do you tune into Self Radio? If so, try to avoid it. It's odd, but I faced a comparable issue and resolved it in a similar manner.

Open Task Manager, adjust CPU priority to High. Thank me later.

occurs occasionally without drawing attention, during exit from my apartment, it becomes textureless for a brief moment before refreshing to a Seagate Barracuda 1TB drive.

Priority shifted to high likely resolved the issue online, but now it's occurring in Story Mode. Also, with self radio, I experience significant lag spikes when listening.

I changed my GPU to an ASUS GTX 750TI PH but the issue persists. My SSD is really slow—can I improve it?
