I've been adjusting GTA V settings for some time now. My system runs an i5 9400f with a gtx 1080, and I'm using a 2560x1080 monitor at 75hz. I often experience sudden lag spikes lasting about five seconds. I've tried the GeForce Experience presets but haven't succeeded. If you have a comparable configuration and effective settings, any advice would be very helpful.

Track the disk utilization. It seems the disk is contributing to the issue

These are the optimal GTA 5 graphic configurations to boost your FPS while maintaining visual quality... You might consider adjusting Shader Quality to High for minor visual tweaks but expect a loss of about 5-7 FPS. Ambient Occlusion can also be set to High, though it will reduce performance by roughly 3-5 FPS. Choosing between Ambient Occlusion Normal and High has no impact on FPS; you should pick either High or Off. All other adjustments are fixed, I confirm.
