This post doesn't appear to be here. It helped me a lot. The intro and opening menu felt sluggish at first, but after passing those settings, everything worked fine. I recommend avoiding locking the frame rate to your monitors—it seemed to drop it to 30fps for me. The FPS counter might be inaccurate, but the game runs smoothly at around 60fps now. SMAA seems to function, though I haven't tried SweetFX yet. Check the forum link for more details.
