Hey there, I noticed you recently swapped your GPU for a GIGABYTE R9 390. It’s been a bit puzzling since I’m not seeing the performance boost I hoped for. I’ve got the following setup: CPU – Z77-D3H i5-3570k @ 3.40GHz (already overclocked), PSU – 600W power supply, and I’ve gone through plenty of optimization guides. Despite all that, games like GTA still feel sluggish. Do you think there’s a way to test if my CPU is limiting things? Have others faced similar problems? I’m open to any advice or details you can share—I really need some guidance! Thanks a lot!

You're receiving the results of your current configuration. The settings you've applied are influencing the output. Let me know if you'd like to adjust anything or see what performance you're achieving. @ Ditch

I don't have a direct measurement of your RAM, but I can help you check it using your operating system or device settings. Let me know if you'd like instructions for your specific system!

Adding some extra OC can improve performance. If the RAM is under 8GB, that could be the problem.

On mostly high settings without MSAA or advanced graphics, I’m only reaching about 60fps consistently, with occasional drops to 50fps. I was hoping for smooth 60fps on high settings, but I’ve seen that works in many YouTube demos. With 8GB RAM, should I upgrade the graphics card?

Our setup operates the game in a comparable way, so understanding the details of your PC would be helpful.

Using my 280x settings, the game smoothed out to 80 frames per second when all options were set high or very high. On a 970, it reaches close to maximum performance at around 110 fps.

Consider updating all your drivers or performing a fresh Windows setup. Run performance tests such as Firestrike to see how it stacks up against other systems.
