I recently tried GTA V Online on PC and joined a lobby with a modder. He didn’t give me any money or weapons—just added items like a Christmas tree, ferris wheel, sign, etc. I’m curious if I should get mods for GTA Online and use private lobbies on my own. Will I be banned? I’ve noticed many of these players around GTA servers, so it seems they keep showing up.
Rockstar seems to disapprove of those kinds of things, so it's best to stick to single-player modding.
I was curious since there are numerous individuals nearby and I assumed the rockstar didn't take action because there are so many people around.
I was also removed for participating in a modified lobby and approving roughly ten million dollars (it was an unofficial group).
I was just taken down by the first banwave. That was a riskier move, but now I’m in a better spot—about 20 meters ahead. You really need three bans for permaban.
We noticed only three instances. I assumed the count would exceed ten, but each occurrence rose steadily by one or two days.
