I haven't been playing GTA online for a while, R* switched to GTA IV for cheaters, and soon R* plans to stop supporting GTA Online as well.

they could make a simple solution that would make both side players happy if you don't know about torchlight II (1st button for vanilla mode, 2nd + MODS) this game had features to run Vanilla based and MOD based game each mode had different frameworks in between so MOD based cannot join vanilla server sided and vice versa. and since the rules is simple (you must have same mod in order to join other server host) making it less problematic users. cheaters do still exist since lot's of MOD for easy mode (better drop rate/higher gold drop, etc), but in Vanilla mode, it's completely barebone I wonder why they still keep silent and not doing anything about it though, specially if they keep advertising their shark cards for extra revenue (which kinda pointless with cheaters rampage in-game) Even indie developers have better concept to hold/make Online player more enjoyable for both sides. if this peer to peer connection then it's completely client sided, for game with 250Millions budget and make 1Billions on 1st week, I see no excuse for not having at least dedicated server for the game. but then again... if R* don't care, then no one will.

Activate passive mode upon spawning. So far, no hackers have harmed me with this approach. Save their resources and stay safe.
