The VRAM becomes the problem when it exceeds 3.3GB, causing drops to 7FPS or lower. Below 3.2GB it runs smoothly around 60 FPS with several adjustments, but VRAM remains the main concern. Check out the Linus video for more details.

I’d begin with the simplest options in GTA 5 and gradually raise the difficulty until performance issues appear.

How much space on your hard drive is being used? If the low frame rates aren't happening often, it might be related to how quickly the storage operates. Keep in mind, we're not discussing complicated topics here.
