You should be able to run GTA V with mods on a GTX 970, but performance will depend on your setup. For online play, aim for high settings while staying under the 3.5GB VRAM limit—adjust textures, shadows, and effects accordingly.

Even after exceeding the 3.5 GB limit, it will still run smoothly, as it doesn’t have 4 Gb or 3.5 Gb capacity.

It's 4Gbps. The final 0.5 isn't quite as quick as expected, though a few users said they didn't experience this issue. Likely due to high settings combined with MSAA on double channels.

Varies with the mods, usually simple to hit 3.5GB.

I struggled to make the game operate beyond 3.5GB at 1080p despite maximizing all options. Raising the resolution still left the GPU struggling under full settings. The instances where it hit around 3.6GB/3.7GB worked without noticeable lag. 1080p should handle it well, especially with overclocking.

I’m excited about playing ONLINE with MODS. Just remember, using mods online can lead to bans.

What video quality are you using? 1440P might work, but 1080P should be fine. Usually I expect you to hit performance limits before you run out of VRAM.

It means the system is no longer able to handle requests or tasks effectively, leading to failures or slow responses.
