GTA V lag spikes and stutter
GTA V lag spikes and stutter
Hi! I recently downloaded GTA V and I've been experiencing stutter and lag. I used to have a problem with textures not loading in but launch option ''--disablehyperthreading'' fixed it. Now I have only stuttering problem left.
My specs:
Pentium G4400, 2 core & 2 thread
(a brand new) 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD 7200rpm
GTX 1050Ti
8GB DDR4 2133mhz RAM
Windows 10
Now, most people will think that my CPU bottlenecking, but even when the CPU is at 80% or lower the game is stuttering like hell. I have all settings on normal and resolution on 900p. So it shouldn't be a hardware problem. I have heard that Win10 makes GTA V stutter. I've tried running on high priority and on Windows 7 compatibility mode but nothing really seems to work. Do you guys know any other tips?
Thanks,
waiting!!
Probably the CPU. Video card is OK for the game, RAM is also fine at 8 GB. Usage of the CPU is not really in a relation to how fast it is or how well it's processing the what the game needs. Video quality settings and resolution affect the video card more than the CPU, you can actually test where the issue is by changing resolution. If lowering resolution does not help much, it's a CPU issue.
Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and conciseness:
“The issue stems from a prioritization problem within the game's threading system. This has led to performance degradation, particularly noticeable during [mention specific actions or situations]. To resolve this, we’ve implemented a targeted fix that adjusts thread priorities. The following resources demonstrate the process:

Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and conciseness:
“This document addresses an issue where a game thread was experiencing unexpected priority changes, leading to performance problems. Initially, the problem manifested as a significant disruption within the game. However, after applying several fixes – including adjusting thread priorities (as demonstrated in multiple YouTube tutorials [links provided]) – the issue has been progressively resolved. The fixes involved a step-by-step approach, reducing the intensity of the thread’s priority fluctuations and ultimately stabilizing the game's performance. Despite attempts to resolve the problem through various methods, the initial issue persisted.”
hang-the-9 :

Thank you, getting a new CPU in the following weeks.
