Is the processor demanding much power? Will it fully utilize all six cores or twelve threads? I need this info before starting an overclock since I want to know if adjustments will be necessary. My 5820K is currently running at normal speeds but has solid cooling for handling higher frequencies.

I tested it for a few hours last night with full settings and 4x MSAA. My 980s are doing great! FPS stays around 60 to 90. With just one 980, you could probably push everything up and disable AA or use FXAA. I’m still amazed how smooth the game runs—no stuttering or crashes. It’s clear Ubisoft messed up back then, setting a bad example for other developers who kept pushing games until they were ready. I wonder if it wasn’t just luck that GTA V, Witcher 3, and Arkhan Knight all faced delays.

Luckily, I tested the setup last night using a XB270HU with a GTX 980. Everything was cranked up except for MSAA at four times and high-res shadows which kept me near my video card limit (around 3780MB). I managed over 60fps in most cases, running smoothly. The game looks great on this display, and the optimizations really made a difference—delays were noticeable but worth it. I haven’t even installed the Nvidia driver yet.

The game performs excellently in frames per second! It's clearly not a GTA IV issue.

Could you confirm if the game limits its frame rate? It appears my setup with GTA V maintains a consistent 60 FPS regardless of other configuration changes.

I tested it during lunch and got 90fps. It dropped to around 70 in quieter moments.

Uncertain about the game's optimization level; my setup includes MSAA 4x and high detail settings. With just one GPU, I'm seeing around 80-120 FPS.

Gamewrecked refers to being in a ruined or destroyed state of a game. You're doing fine here.

Discussing performance metrics: CPU and VRAM consumption, FPS adequacy for ULMB with one card versus SLI, observed FPS boost after pushing GPU to max clock speed, SLI scaling with overclocking, and potential MSI Afterburner interference. Also noting the plan to wait for school exams before diving back in.

My card is overclocked to 1444MHz with 7.52Ghz RAM, consistently staying under 68°C during stress. Frames stayed steady, and G-sync was beneficial. Running MSI Afterburner during gameplay showed no problems except for 4x MSAA and high-res shadows. The Vram bar displayed around 3700MB in the options. I’ll review the settings after finishing the session.
