A few weeks back my FPS stayed above 40 while driving. Now it consistently hits 30 FPS. Sometimes it jumps back to 50-60 and then drops again to 30. My specs include an I3 4150 MSI R9 280X with a 1140 core clock and 8 GB RAM. I checked the settings using the links provided. It looks like developers might not be creating good PC games lately. I also have an AMD beta driver, which is helpful since it could improve performance once the full release comes.

Check the details in the city area versus the outskirts. You’ll see higher FPS in the city compared to the outskirts. Adjust settings accordingly—don’t need Msaa 4x, and you can use Msaa 2x with a 78-oi. Turn Post FX to Medium for optimal performance.

I have identical graphics card, sufficient RAM, and a more powerful CPU. The same problems persist. It might be related to drivers—both the beta version and older ones. I also experience severe artefacts, though the GPU temperature stays around 70°C. Perhaps we should hold off on optimisation until further improvements are made.

Turn off Vsync, restores FPS to 30fps. You might have used it earlier for smoother performance, but this setting will improve stability now.

In the city, once I exit my apartment. Yes, I require MSAA at 4X; if it’s set to 2X, I run into graphics issues. [Image link] (Grass looks interesting!)

we wait for a while, hoping AMD will address it, but Rockstar won't.

Disable Vsync to stop screen tearing.

Also eliminates the sudden reduction to 30fps. Likely, with adjusted parameters you can maintain higher minimums above 45fps, preventing the drop when using Vsync.

I attempted using standard settings on regular configurations, but I consistently see 60 FPS initially, then drop to around 30 FPS within a short time.
