No way, it won't be that way. DX12 is terrible... honestly. Vulkan is the future. (But that's not available in the game either)

To run GTA 5 on Windows 10 with a GeForce 1060, try a clean installation. If the problem persists, check your graphics settings or update drivers. You might also consider using a more powerful GPU or switching to a different game that matches your hardware.

Also, DirectX 12 isn't the case here—it's not a free gift. You need solid knowledge to use it effectively. Even then, top-tier systems might not gain much advantage.

Your GPU probably backs up the older Direct X API, or vice versa. (Direct X might work with your GPU) I don’t really understand the details, but usually your computer can run older programs.

Switch to DX9 through DX11 as usual. That tends to work better. Ask questions if you need clarification.
