The release of GTA V on PC will include developer tools. Running the game on a system with just 3GB of RAM is possible, though performance may be limited. The delay in launching GTA V for PC was due to various factors including development priorities and technical challenges.

This amount of RAM seems insufficient.

Probably not really, the price tag is low. Rockstar seems more relaxed than most people, which makes sense. EDIT: 4GB RAM required [link]

It seems you're referring to a 3GB VRAM requirement, not the overall system RAM. If your setup has 3GB of system RAM, you should invest in a new machine or an upgrade instead of spending on games. The VRAM details are unclear since we don't know the optimization level of the PC version. It's worth noting that it took longer for GTA V to launch on PC compared to GTA IV, likely due to the game's size and complexity.

Yes, I understand that Rock Star is a lazy character, but they earn a lot from GTA V. I believe when GTA V launches for PC and PS4, they’ll earn even more!

They won't, folks won't end up being milked more than once Unless GTA V is priced at 30 or 40 dollars.

Looking ahead, games will likely need 64-bit Windows, and some may not even support 64-bit Vista. If you're using 64-bit Windows, ensure you have at least 4GB of RAM or more. While it's possible to function with less, you shouldn't anticipate playing serious games on such a setup.
