I adjusted the draw range for GTA SA and installed a 4x mod. Distant objects now appear correctly, while nearby elements like trees respond more quickly. For faster response on close objects such as foliage during bike rides, tweak the proximity settings in the mod to prioritize local detail.

I'm short on the kind of power needed for that game. My laptop runs an i7 4700MQ 2.4GHz with 8GB RAM and a 730M GPU. I can play GTA San Andreas on my school computer using medium settings, but it struggles at higher resolutions or with longer draw distances. It often drops to around 60 FPS, which is okay for casual play, but I'm curious if it could work smoothly enough. Same situation here—will it run well?

Indicates compatibility issue with the current version, only 1.0 available. Disappointing.

Use the Cleo format (.cs) for your file instead of the ASI version (.asi).

I'm using a downgraded patch to support 16:9 resolutions.

I'm not using a 16:9 screen. My display is 1280 x 768, giving a 16:10 aspect ratio. I own the original 1.0 version of the game, which was downloaded without permission. It's odd that 720p isn't listed in the menu options.

9 resolution well. It's frustrating that even the Steam version doesn't support it, making playtime more difficult. Despite this, the game is really good overall.
