I have a GTA IV disc but it broke. I possess a valid activation code, but I need the install files to properly activate it. I want to use mods, as cracking isn't an option. How can I get those files?

They claim you need to turn it on in GFWL, but I’m not sure what that means. I own the software, but I’m unclear about the steps.
