To reduce VRAM usage, adjust the graphics settings in GTA V. Texture-related options are likely to lower V-RAM consumption. Verify this in the graphics menu yourself. I’m unable to open the game directly for you.

Check the VRAM stats in GTA, adjust the settings, and observe how they impact usage. Reduce the values that matter most.

Currently, your VRAM on GTA is around 2500MB out of 3000MB, which seems sufficient. However, your RAM usage is quite high, and with 8GB available, it’s likely the performance depends more on your system configuration than just the amount of RAM.

8 gigabytes of RAM works well right now for gaming. A few titles need more than 8 for a smoother playthrough, like Forza Horizon which needs around 12GB.

yeah, thats what i was thinking. Im just annoyed and confused why i cant play gta 5 properly with such an expensive pc. i know it could be alot more with a threadripper plus 1080ti but for the ammount ive spent this pc should be able to run gta 5 high settings with ease surely! i feel like ive either done something wrong or theres a glitch or something. i just dont know anymore. im heading to rockstar support now. they are really bad so it will probably be a waste of time. but oh well

Your GTA could be the problem since I attempted to play GTA V today with all settings at high and it functions properly. It doesn't maintain 60fps continuously, but it runs and feels okay sometimes. Remember, players have different views on FPS and smooth performance.

Hey, I understand the situation. You mentioned having an older setup—just an OLED TV and a 880K model. I guess it could be related to that. Thanks again!

I understand I only possess those parts, but back then I couldn’t get the G4350 from Intel and I didn’t want that upgrade. Now I’m thinking about selling this one and switching to a Ryzen model.

I’ve got a Ryzen 5 1400, 8GB RAM, GTX 1060 with 3GB VRAM, and a 430W power supply. I’m seeing very low FPS in GTA V. I’ve updated all drivers, but the VRAM usage isn’t an issue. The settings bar is showing green!

Adjust the lower grass level and disable high-resolution graphics options.
