My GTX 1070 Ti has no issues (8 GB VRAM). VRAM usage is higher than game settings predict (adding 1 GB VRAM), and it doesn’t appear to be leaking as reported on the Steam forum. The engine has become more resource-hungry.

At 1080p with high/very high settings, VRAM consumption is approximately 4 GB. At 1440p, average VRAM usage with the same settings is around 4.5 GB. However, when everything is maxed out at 1440p, the game suggests 5 GB of VRAM and utilizes 5.2 GB, which is acceptable. Lower settings suggest different resource requirements. For example, at 1440p with all settings on the lowest possible setting, the suggested VRAM usage is 1.2 GB, but actual usage is 1.7 GB. Therefore, if you used to play with certain settings, you should reduce them slightly. Use MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner Server OSD settings to monitor VRAM usage.

Thank you for sharing. Many users appear to be experiencing this problem, and testing within the thread has yielded some useful results. Currently, there is no solution, but the consensus suggests the issue lies within the game. It is hoped that Rockstar will become aware of and address this problem with a fix.

Disable all VPN clients and virtual network adapters. I used a CyberGhost (not connected during gameplay, but with the software installed) and completely removed it, including the virtual network adapter. After playing for one hour without any issues.
