Gta 5 Issues
Gta 5 Issues
I’m experiencing problems while running GTA 5. The GPU usage fluctuates between 50-70%, sometimes dropping to around 30% and causing the game to drop to about 20 FPS. My CPU stays at full utilization, and I’m struggling to play the game or use Discord due to high CPU load. When I adjust the settings, the GPU usage rises to 90% and FPS drops to 40%. Despite trying all online fixes, uninstalling and reinstalling the game hasn’t resolved the issue.
My system specs:
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (important Balistix)
- CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G clocked at 3.6 or 3.7 GHz (exact value unclear)
- GPU: RX 560 4GB
- Power supply: Thermaltake 500W
- Motherboard: MSI A320m Pro-M2 v2
- Storage: 250GB SSD, 500GB 5400RPM HDD, 500GB 7200RPM HDD
Many graphics card problems can be fixed by removing and reinstalling your GPU drivers. If you haven’t done this before—or if you haven’t used Display Driver Uninstaller to delete drivers—I suggest using the tool available at:

(links to downloads are at the bottom of the page) and applying the “Clean and Restart” option. After that, you can obtain new drivers by clicking the provided links and choosing your hardware model.
the main concern is the cpu usage that spikes when settings are low and drops when settings are high.
It didn't improve when I was driving through the city, hitting 41% and 100% usage across all cores. It looks like higher visual intensity lowers the usage, and sometimes looking far away in the game drops usage to 20% while FPS falls to around 25.
