GTA 5 PC specifications are now clear. The essential hardware needs include a processor such as Core i3 2130 or FX-4100, or A8 5500; graphics cards like Radeon HD 4890 or GTX 450; 4GB of RAM; and Windows 7/8/64-bit OS version 8.1 with at least 35GB free disk space. The recommended setup is a Core i5 2500 or FX-6300, Radeon HD 7950 or GTX 660 Ti, 8GB RAM, same OS, and a minimum 35GB hard drive. Performance on the PC version mirrors Grand Theft Auto IV closely, with video memory adjustments via sliders. In FPS mode it maintains around 60 frames per second. Controls feel responsive, though some lag appears in texture loading compared to console versions. Typing is possible using the keyboard. With an i5 4670 and GTX 970, achieving 45-50 FPS is achievable at maximum settings, except possibly with anti-aliasing disabled. Note: Unless Rockstar confirms, it’s best not to rely on these specs.
