It's clear that when RGB is applied to a computer component, it's been done correctly before. However, with RGB mboo stands, the question remains. Updated June 6, 2020 by Goku1814

It would be pointless since you can't view motherboard standoffs, and there would be yet another tangled mess of cables for powering and managing the RGB lights.

They would stay hidden beneath the motherboard. It seems they need to be... well, they should be constructed from metal since it provides a solid link between the board and the case, grounding everything. As for the RGB on a small stand, it’s probably just for visibility or branding purposes.

It seems the question is about why PCBs don't use RGB instead of other color systems. This could relate to their design constraints or material properties.

The concept seems misleading and impractical. It wouldn’t display the RGB values, and connecting a wire to an RGB controller would require extremely fine wires, creating a complicated setup.

It would create a gentle, hidden glow on the motherboard that looks great without any other lights in the case... or you could easily make it with an RGB strip instead.
