It varies by game. I wouldn't play Battlefield at 30fps, but I'm okay with running AC at that speed.

due to my previous gaming experience and setup, i can enjoy games at 15 fps. this isn't a joke—my old system, an amd e450 apu, could run minecraft with optifine on minimal settings at 15 fps. i'll go for 30 fps and high-quality visuals.
While it didn’t turn out as bad as I expected, switching from AC:U at 30fps to 60fps was quite a jump. I actually ran the whole game in 720p just to achieve smooth frames ;_; Overall, the 30fps playthrough wasn’t too harsh on my eyes, though it did feel a bit frustrating at times.
