Graphics Error Detected
Graphics Error Detected
Hello,
I recently reinstalled Grand Theft Auto and am encountering a persistent error (GFX_D3D_INIT). I’ve attempted numerous troubleshooting steps found online, including: disabling background applications, removing D3D files from the GTA folder, running the program with administrative privileges, executing it in safe mode, booting Windows in safe mode, playing without an internet connection, utilizing CCleaner, reinstalling all related software (DirectX and Visual Studio), performing scans with Malwarebytes, modifying DirectX settings within the settings.xml file, validating the game files, completely reinstalling GTA, adjusting page sizes, reducing my graphics card clock speed, turning off antivirus and firewall protection, adding an exception for the game through the firewall. I am thoroughly frustrated and depleted from searching for a resolution, so I'm requesting assistance from others who may have experienced this issue and can offer guidance. My system details are as follows:
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
GPU: RX 470
RAM: 16gb DDR4
Motherboard: B350m pro
Storage 1: Sandisk SSD (housing Windows)
Storage 2: Seagate HDD (containing GTA)
I also have the Social Club version of GTA, and it consistently crashes at startup and fails to display any visuals during the loading process. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tommy

Greetings. To begin, please initiate Grand Theft Auto V in safe mode by following these steps: right-click on the GTA 5 executable file, select “properties,” navigate to “launch options or commands,” and enter "-safemode" while adjusting DirectX settings from within the game itself. Alternatively, proceed with the subsequent instructions.
First, attempt a fresh installation of your video card driver. Subsequently, remove Grand Theft Auto V and all related files. It’s crucial to create a backup of your saved games beforehand. Then, download updated drivers from AMD via their website. Access Control Panel -> Programs and Features, uninstall the existing AMD video drivers through this interface, and finally, install the new drivers. Afterwards, reinstall Grand Theft Auto 5.
