Graphics card/Display Issues
Graphics card/Display Issues
Thursday I assembled a new PC. Used only my original case, two fans, and the GPU. The graphics card performed well on the previous machine. On the new one it didn’t display when connected through that card. I replaced the card and it functioned properly with integrated graphics or via motherboard connection. I had an extra 1060 available. It worked briefly for a day. Today I powered on and still got no display. Removed the card, connected HDMI through the motherboard, and it worked again. I used a discharge strap. No signs of damage to the cards or the slot. Uncertain about next steps. Thanks ahead.
Occasionally just taking out the cards and reinserting them fixes everything. Try this again and observe the outcome; if it doesn’t help, check another full-size PCIe port for compatibility.
What has me confused is the 1070ti not working from the getgo and a day and half later the 1060 not work. With the 1070 i removed it from other board and it layed on a carboard box until i put it in new board. i do have 1 more slot but either need a riser of somesort or remove board from case. the 2nd slot is 2 low. I will try your suggestion later. Thank you.
