I was gaming and suddenly lost signal to my graphics cards. The motherboard display ports are functioning properly. I tested all the ports on the card and ruled out a cable issue. I connected the DisplayPort to the motherboard to check for software issues, but the GPU appears to be missing. The lights on the card are still on, yet the fans aren't spinning. I've confirmed it's fully seated in the PCI slot. It seems the port on the motherboard might have failed unexpectedly. It was surprisingly hot—my CPU was around 35°C while I played League of Legends. Recently, the fans started working again but the card isn't being detected by the motherboard. The GPU has remained extremely hot for a long time without detection, so I'm unsure what's happening.

Shut down the computer. Then detach the GPU entirely and relocate it to another PCIe lane. Check if this resolves the issue. If successful, return it to the original slot.

I tried a workaround but ended up disassembling the whole system. I switched to an older GTX 1080, which didn’t show up on the motherboard either but appears to draw power. It looks like the PCIe slot might have failed unexpectedly.

Based on what you're saying, it looks like the issue might be related to the motherboard. If you're certain 1080 works properly, that's probably the reason. You could either swap out the entire motherboard or relocate the card to another slot—either way, you'll need to take the PC apart. Before purchasing a new board, verify its warranty status directly from the manufacturer’s website, not from the retailer.

I’m even more puzzled now. I checked the BIOS and the card is listed, but I expected something like "RX6750 XT" instead of the details you saw. The blue LEDs suggest a custom software profile might be saved on the GPU, but it’s not showing up in Windows. When I changed it to 1080, it reported a different PCIe version, which seems to help the slot detection but doesn’t work in Windows. After reinserting the card, it overheated again even though it wasn’t using much power. In System Information I can see the GPU details, but I can’t enable it in Windows. It’s strange how it behaves differently depending on the settings.
