I need assistance with my laptop's built-in GPU, which is a GeForce 940m.
When launching games like Minecraft or Genshin Impact, the graphics freeze even when using the NVIDA Control Panel 3D renderer.
I have attached sample images here:
https://ibb.co/5YdDkYk
and
https://ibb.co/GvfRN3P
In regular tasks such as browsing, it works properly but graphics fail during games.
I've already updated the drivers and tried reformatting.
Laptop specifications:
Model: Acer E5-473G
OS: Windows 10 Single Language (64-Bit)
Storage: SSD 240GB
RAM: 12GB (8+4)
NVIDIA: https://ibb.co/n1gyWkT
Performance Mode: https://ibb.co/3YFzp57
Quality Mode: https://ibb.co/sVmpnM0
Balance Mode: https://ibb.co/anotherlink

If I temporarily disable the GPU and switch to using an Intel GPU, I’m not happy playing games with it.
Manually download and reinstall the laptop’s GPU drivers. Reinstall and adjust settings.
Also verify hardware acceleration options.
Starter link: https://www.makeuseof.com/what-is-hardwa...eleration/
Check your laptop’s current settings and look up more information online based on your device and components.
Be careful and modify one change at a time. Keep track of changes in case you need to undo them.

Did the issue persist or did it begin occurring?
Update your post with complete laptop specifications and operating system details.
Test the other accessible graphics configuration options as illustrated in the image you shared.
Modify just one element at a time.
Record changes and their locations.
Proceed to check again under normal browsing conditions.
If successful, restart and attempt gaming once more.

it's just beginning when I start playing games, it's been a week now. I haven't found any solution. https://ibb.co/JQVghBX -- Genshin Impact On Performance Mode in Setting Adjustment and everything is the same, even the bar doesn't change, nothing different at all.

If I disable the GPU temporarily and switch to an Intel GPU, I'm experiencing issues while playing games on that setup.

How much capacity does that 128 GB SSD actually have?
If the issue began recently, it might simply mean the storage is getting full.
Particularly when you have a lot of games or files.
Games mainly require space for storage and virtual memory.
Right now, 128 GB seems insufficient for many systems.
I try to keep my drives between 70-80% utilization.
Have you managed to clear out any unnecessary files?
You shouldn’t defragment SSDs—they’re not necessary.
But you can use built-in tools in Windows to remove files, do general maintenance, and free up space.
This might not recover enough space to fully resolve the problem.
You can also delete personal files yourself to make room.
Just ensure all critical information is backed up before proceeding.
Make copies and store them elsewhere.
At least two copies should be available, and they need to be recoverable and readable.

Sorry, I missed the lead. My SSD size is 240GB.
50% usage allows you to use 121GB for free.
Additionally, my second drive backup has an HDD size of 1TB.

The images suggest a potential GPU failure. It also clarifies why using integrated graphics resolves the issue.
