4:3 is a legend. 16:9 represents the idea of a superior race.

Since you lack a high-performance machine, playing at native resolution should fix the issue. Net_graph and the console won<|pad|> can be scaled down with higher resolution.

The choice comes down to personal taste, neither is superior.

Try this setting: Net_graphproportionalfont 0, play on 4:3, and see the result.

9 native display clearly offers superior quality. It may not always be the case, but there are situations where it matters. Four by three is just one example of this trend. Moving on to resolution and scaling, these factors are often overlooked, yet they can significantly impact clarity—turning subtle details into noticeable highlights or shadows. This isn't about personal preference; the main benefit of native resolution is real and measurable, even for advanced users.

I understand there are some downsides, but overall it's what the player is most at ease with. All this doesn't really matter.

The placebo effect is minor yet noticeable. It doesn’t align with what you expect.

3 all the time. how can this be anything other than real change? it affects more than just the view—your mouse feels different too. Stop following those YouTube creators who claim to know the game inside out; they might understand some commands, but that's not the whole story.

Because they've been sticking to 4:3 all the time doesn't automatically improve things. Most recent 4:3 games are from new players who are watching pros and thinking, "Wow, they're playing well—maybe I should give it a try too!" Sure, for those who have been around long enough (like me) using 4:3 is fine if they want to, but it's foolish for newcomers to feel they must change just because they think another way is better.
