Hi @Nayr438 / @AndrzejL The issue has changed since I last rebooted. It wasn't functioning before, then it stopped after a reboot and now prompts for a password. I suspect Raspbian retains sudo privileges temporarily after the initial command... Any thoughts on why this happens? The added line in the command remains. Updated September 12, 2020 by TheLewisS1

Yes, running that command once more should restore the changes and make it function properly.

Received a fresh start after updating the rules file and re-executing the commands. Requested a password. The setup functioned after the second run, but I worry it might be due to temporary elevated privileges. Looking up instructions on how to disable it temporarily.

Check if the command is executed with sudo. It may prompt for a password if you're running it as root.
