Hey! I've been playing Grand Theft Auto V on PC for over a year now. Lately I've noticed some issues—my game crashes after just a few seconds without any noticeable lag. I've reduced the graphics settings, but the problem persists. Also, other games I've tried recently haven't had the same trouble. What could be causing this?

Look for alternative options first before thinking about reinstalling Windows.

I faced the same problem after upgrading to 16GB RAM, and the newer updates seem to cause memory leaks. Would you consider using an overlay to check how much RAM is being used?

No mods are currently installed. The game is running as it was originally.

I noticed the memory consumption is elevated as shown in Task Manager; perhaps delay until Rockstar releases an update could help.

Verify your CPU activity during gameplay. Previously, on a 6300, the CPU would hit maximum usage leading to lag and frame drops.

It's not very high; the biggest usage in games is RAM, and it seems to be mainly in GTA. It could be the issue.
