The RX580 and GTX 1060 both run GDDR5, but in MSI Afterburner they display the GTX 1060 at 8000MHz and the RX580 at 2000MHz. This indicates the GTX 1060 is running at four times the speed of the RX580's clock.

Is your GPU-Z version outdated? Please update it to the latest. It shouldn't display 8000MHz memory for the 1060. Could you share the GPU-Z screenshot using imgur.com for reference in this forum?

I don't own a GTX1060, I just have an RX580.
I noticed on YouTube that a GTX 1060 shows 8000MHz in MSI afterburner, while my RX 580 only displays 2000MHz.
Does that suggest a GTX 1060 is four times faster than an RX580?
