Recently mainly during gaming I am experiencing massive frame drops that align with drops in GPU Utilization and sometimes when switching tabs or windows there will be a big stutter. Changing settings in game to all low has no affect. Upon doing some research I heard it could be a bottle neck but CPU utilization is only around 50% and memory being at 70-80. I also heard it could be heard it could be thermal throttling but GPU temps during gaming sit at 60-70 degrees Celsius. Ram is 3200 MHz and I have a 970 evo so ram or storage speeds shouldn't be the issue. Also GPU drivers are up to date was happening before and after the update. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Verify per-core CPU utilization. A 50% usage might indicate 3 cores running at maximum and 3 idle cores, which the system will display as 50%.

Old bios updates seem to be fine, but recent checks suggest a problem might exist. It appears the issue could relate to the BIOS itself, even though hardware hasn’t changed much. I’ve checked chipset drivers and they’re listed as installed, but the device manager shows drivers from 2009. This inconsistency is confusing. Could the BIOS be the root cause? Also, I’ve been struggling with Windows updates for a long time, but this problem only started recently.

Update the BIOS when necessary. New versions appear for fixes, better performance, or added hardware support. It often involves multiple factors and isn’t optional. For Windows problems, follow the recommended steps.
