Hello everyone. After installing my new PC, I encountered GPU performance issues leading to lower than expected FPS. For instance, Rainbow Six Siege operates at 100 FPS on ultra with double the TXAA (95 to 99% GPU usage) and maintains the same frame rate across all settings (under 60% GPU load). I kept my NVIDIA CPU at maximum settings without adjustments. System specs include an Intel i7-7700 (up to 75°C), a Zotac 1070 mini (65°C max), 8GB of 2400MHz RAM (single channel), and a 60Hz monitor. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

The problem seems to stem from CPU or RAM constraints. Adding more memory might resolve it. However, it’s unclear why 100 FPS works at high settings.

I support the idea that a single-channel RAM might become a limitation in modern gaming with higher frame rates.

Are you using an adaptive sync monitor? G-sync or Freesync will cap your FPS. Is V-Sync turned on (both in game or control panel)? As Vsync will cap your FPS. Might also be that the game just wants to run at that framerate despite the quality. But odds are something is causing it to cap. Some say the RAM could be, but unless you're utilizing 100% of the allocated RAM and its going into Pagefile, there really shouldn't be any kind of reduction in framerate. Needless to say, you don't need your FPS to run higher than your monitor's refresh rate anyway, otherwise you'll start tearing the screen anyway. If you're just wanting to benchmark, use something else.

The purchase is straightforward now. I want to buy a 144Hz monitor.

Run additional games beyond just R6S to verify there isn't a software problem.

It's a possibility to be somewhere when you're limited to 100

The issue remains unchanged even after reinstalling Windows 10 and keeping only essential apps. A higher refresh rate might help, but it’s not guaranteed.

All types of synchronization issues are present. It doesn’t require full RAM usage. This works well with my 60Hz display, but I’m concerned about upgrading to a 144Hz one.
