Well, $625 CAD equals £338.54 GBP, as discussed by knowledge2121.
$625 USD is approximately £469.45 GBP.
In summary, I still believe the RTX 4060 remains the best choice for around 300 quid. Of course, adding 50 quid can bring in a better GPU, and so on. Before anyone realizes, GPU prices have skyrocketed to 600 quid.
I'm sorry, I missed that.
I thought it was US dollars.
In my country, a 16GB 5060 Ti is selling for €450-500, and the RTX 5070 is only about €100 more.
I see similar or even smaller differences on sites like Newegg or Amazon.
Unless someone is really on a tight budget, the 5070 would be better.
It varies based on your hardware specifications. If you're using PCI Gen 3.0 or Gen 4, the B580 would be a suitable option. Your performance is limited to 300W and it relies on your power supply. For Gen 3 systems, the 3060 12GB is recommended due to its full X16 lanes, which are not compatible with the B580 and 4060 models as they face significant limitations. Upgrading to a 440W system would reduce costs if you have a solid power supply between 370-400W. Gold-certified 650W or higher is preferred, though some good bronze PSUs exist. This setup would likely place you in the RX 7700 XT range. The final choice hinges on your specific system requirements.
Just looked my local store and RTX 5060 Ti price starts from €431.90 and up.
But i digress.
Do you know how much money is €100?
For some, that's a lot of money. For others - just peanuts.
🙄
Unless you pay the diff from your own wallet, i see no reason why to suggest out of budget GPU to OP.
No, they do not.
At most, only 3% difference on 1080p between PCI-E 4.0 x8 (native for RTX 4060) and PCI-E 3.0 x8 (if OP's MoBo has main GPU slot PCI-E 3.0).

They really struggle with comparing a 4060 to a 4090, and newer titles will only widen the gap.

The biggest issue with the 4060 was its severe bandwidth limitations. The 8GB storage capacity would make it even worse.
RTX 3060 12GB offers ample power for gaming and a solid choice for light workstation tasks.
