I’ve been exploring possibilities and discovered information about using a specific GPU as an openGL rendering card, paired with a more affordable option for your monitor. Once I try it out, I’ll share the outcomes.

I checked with my friends about getting a spare GPU, and someone had an old GTX 750 Ti at their place. I tried it out, and it looks like using the GTX 1060 as an OpenGL renderer affected my frame rates in games like FF14 and DBD. High textures aren’t possible because of its limited memory, but running it with the older card seems to work better than without it. I might stick with this setup until I can afford a better replacement.
