I recently assembled my new PC and it’s proving difficult to navigate Windows. I’m forced to perform a system restore to recover just one minute of time before my screen shuts down, even though the machine remains powered on. Today I checked my graphics card and noticed it powers up briefly when the display loses signal, then restarts itself repeatedly until I press the reset button. The GPU also fails to appear in Task Manager or HWMonitor. I’m worried it might be a defective GPU, but I want to verify this before ordering a replacement from Newegg.
