GPU shows no response, fans are running, dual BIOS?
PC Specifications
Mobo: Gigabyte B550 UD
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X
GPU: Sakura RX 6800 XT
RAM: 32GB Vengeance DDR4
PSU: EVGA 850 GT 850w
Issue:
System powers on but no display appears, not even for BIOS. Used a 1030 to verify, but the system is actually running. Unable to undervolt it since AMD software couldn't run. Card has dual VBIOS; tried switching between them without success.
Actions Taken:
- Reinstalled drivers
- Re-seated the device
- Changed PCIe slot
- Cleaned pins with alcohol
Installed GPU-Z, which indicated no BIOS recognition. Attempted to flash a new BIOS using amdvbflash, but three versions failed or couldn't locate the card.
power is connected to the card? are you using an adapter or original cables from the PSU?
is the motherboard BIOS up to date?
can reset CMOS using a jumper?
did you change the VBIO while powered off or on?
it must be off when switching
also try different cables as well as displayport and hdmi
Power is connected using two distinct 8-pin cables rather than a daisy-chain setup. The motherboard BIOS is current. The CMOS battery was taken out and replaced. I shut down the system whenever I make adjustments, as both vBIOS appear faulty. I tested all ports but had no success. I added amdvbflash, but it doesn't recognize it, preventing a new vBIOS update.
Does the BIOS version of the motherboard match FGg or F5c? Reset the BIOS using the jumper. Edit: Are you connecting the two separate 8-pin cables provided by the PS or others?
