Win 10
i5-13600k
32 GB DDR5
700w PSU
4k Monitor 60 FPS (please note my frame rate limitation, I won’t be upgrading the monitor)
I’m considering an upgrade from a 4060 to higher resolutions and settings. What’s best for consistent 60 fps:
1440p
4k
Regarding Intel GPUs, do they fit with the same motherboards as AMD/Nvidia? I’ve heard that 8GB is insufficient for anything beyond 1080p. I’m thinking about a 5070ti with 16GB.

Best is usually determined by cost. What is your budget for this? Also, what is the make and model of your power supply unit?

A solid improvement that pairs well with the upcoming CPU lineup. Expect around double performance right out of the box at 1440. Performance at 60+ is likely, though not certain at 4K ultra.

I have a 700w PSU. I won't upgrade it or the 60 fps 4k monitor. I'm not spending money unnecessarily; I just need what's sufficient. I want 1440 + 4k gaming, 60fps with a bit more for longevity. Usually I replace my GPU every 2-3 years. It makes no sense to pay extra for more fps when my monitor won't display them, and I'll switch to a new GPU long before the extra power is required.

Nvidia states on their site that a 750 Watt PSU is the lowest required for a RTX 5070 Ti. If you refuse to replace your PSU, you won’t be able to run a 5070 Ti.
"1440 + 4k gaming, 60fps plus a bit more to keep it running smoothly."
To maintain 4K at 60+ frames in modern games for years, you’ll need a 5070Ti or better, probably a 5080. However, you’ve set a power limit that makes this unachievable. You have two options:
1. Replace your PSU and get a 5070Ti/5080
2. Purchase the highest performing card your current PSU supports, which would be a RTX 5070.
