Hey everyone, I purchased a 1080 from a friend who mentioned using DisplayPort exclusively because his monitor only supports it. I've been connecting my 1060 to a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter for two years with a second monitor. However, DisplayPort isn't working on this GPU. HDMI functions perfectly but not DP. I've updated drivers and installed the latest NVIDIA UEFI DP update, yet nothing changes—no signal at all, and the monitor doesn't even power on.
Check the connection method—whether it uses the adapter or a standard DP cable.
I experienced a comparable issue. I purchased the "rx6600xt qick 308" from a miner at a good price. All the Display Ports failed, but HDMI worked. I had it checked for diagnosis and found the problem was in the GPU chip. Everything else, including memory, seemed fine. They recommended replacing the chip since the DPs were functioning even though the card was performing well. I chose to ignore the DPs and use HDMI instead.
