Details: Hardware & Settings
GPU: RTX 3080 MSI Suprim 10GB CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 RAM: 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance RS 3200Mhz Mother: ASUS TUF B450 PSU: XPG Core Reactor 850w OS: Windows 11 Pro.
Since Sunday, opening a new game causes the GPU to lock at 300MHz, affecting performance noticeably. I monitor this using GPU-Z. The GPU clock remains locked even when doing other tasks like browsing. A workaround involves disabling and re-enabling the GPU in Device Manager; it works until a restart. This model offers silent and gaming modes, currently set to gaming. Background apps such as Signal RGB MSI Afterburner and Wallpaper Engine stop automatically when a game runs. I tried uninstalling GeForce Experience thinking it might help, but it didn’t resolve the issue.
Many forums mention similar problems with older GPUs, suggesting possible software conflicts rather than hardware faults. The only temporary fix found so far is using Device Manager. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It seems like you're asking if we should begin by confirming the graphics driver is up to date.

I verified the initial problem, applied the fix, but the issue persists.

After installing MSI Afterburner, attempt to set the clock to 900 MHz. Observe whether it works and determine if the software conflicts with the hardware.

I updated the recent modifications. First, disable the walpaper engine. Then, clear all GPU-related software and reinstall the necessary ones.

It wasn't anything new, the GPU performed well until Saturday evening. I'm considering keeping DDU on standby for now.
