I own a brand new PC and recently played Jurassic Park Evolution 2. I observed an unusual issue near structures when adjusting the terrain. The GPU performance, along with usage and occasionally clock speeds, would reduce. FPS would fall from 100 to 30, then return to normal once I stopped playing. This behavior also occurred in completely empty parks. However, when moving away from buildings, nothing changes. Clock speed, usage, and power remained consistent. I haven’t experienced similar problems in other games yet.

I’ve tried various solutions—reinstalling drivers, updating BIOS, adjusting game settings in Windows, and using Adrenaline—but none resolved the issue. There seems to be no overheating or thermal throttling, staying around 60°C or less, except during this specific action. I’m unsure if it’s a bug with the game itself, but I can’t find any details about it. Limiting the frame rate and switching to FXAA helped slightly, though not completely. I’m hoping someone can assist in solving this puzzle.

Here are my specifications, a user benchmark, and screenshots of the game metrics overlay:

It doesn't fully stop the process, just significantly reduces its speed during editing.

I understand your question. When you switch the environment on the screen, does the game pause during that transition?

I'm sorry, but the game is still operating at its usual pace.
