GPU overclocking questions
GPU overclocking questions
I managed to overclock my Asus Strix GTX 1080 to 2113 MHz, though it didn’t stabilize during benchmarking. I was able to play games for two hours without issues. Is it safe to run the GPU at that speed if it isn’t stable while testing?
stability is what you need to focus on, continue adjusting until artifacts disappear
if it isn't stable on heaven, it will eventually crash in a game too, so I would pull it back a bit.
I would maintain it at 2075, it's a solid overclock. Better to stay cautious and avoid the risk of failure later.
I would maintain it at 2075, it's a solid overclock. Better to be cautious rather than risking a crash at the worst moment. For my memory clock, I set it to 11340 Mhz in the tweaking software and 5685 Mhz in the benchmark graph. It doesn't display artifacts clearly, but after about an hour of testing, some minor artifacts appear. Should I revert the clock? If yes, what should be the adjustment amount?

Stability should come first, pull it back until no artifacts remain. Will the power capacity work at 120% or is it too much for the card in the long term?
