I've tried some guidelines on how to optimize my GPU, but when playing games like Overwatch or Apex Legends it keeps crashing. It's causing my PC to freeze sometimes. I'm not sure if I made a mistake or if the parts I have aren't suitable for GPU optimization.
My games run smoothly without any modifications, but I'm curious about their performance during streaming. They still crash even when streaming isn't active. I have enabled power settings and/or memory timers, yet crashes persist. I use the software named Gigabyte Xtreme Engine Utility, which is compatible with my GPU. It already comes with an OC preset, but it offers very little.
What tools are you using to stabilize your OC before playing games? Are you testing just Core or also checking VRAM? Do you adjust the voltage manually during the process? Is there a higher power limit being set when you OC?
I watch this video.

I mostly just copied what this person said and adjusted everything when it wasn't working.
Gpu and cpu are essentially the same component, a silicon-based chip. Each one behaves slightly differently. Some optimize better at higher voltages, others at lower ones, and some perform poorly regardless of voltage. This variation is known as the silicon lottery. Your gpu might differ from the one shown in the video, meaning your results could vary. You may experience more memory, slower clocks, or faster clocks with lower memory, or you might need to adjust voltage or power settings to achieve different outcomes.
Evga precisionX performs well, and Asus gpu Tweak is also solid. It seems Gigabyte is investing more in its R&D for the motherboard this cycle, since their GPUs fall short of the others.
