GPU overclocking - GT 630
GPU overclocking - GT 630
I received a GT 630 1GB GDDR5 from Asus.
The driver CD includes Asus GPU Tweak, and I performed some overclocking. I raised the GPU clock from 810 to 900 and the memory clock from 3200 to 3400. Before the changes, my score was around 470-480; after the overclock, it improved to about 540 or higher. I tested it in ATS and CS GO as well, which showed a slight improvement.
The concern is whether this setup could damage my GPU. The temperature reached 67°C under full load, which seems acceptable.
I’m also wondering if increasing the GPU clock further—up to its maximum of 1100—is worth it.

67 is all good, looks like you have enough room to push it higher, worth giving a shot. Be cautious when it hits around 85.
It maintains 880mV during full load and stays at 1100mV. Should I be concerned if it exceeds that?
How much should I adjust beyond the current settings? Trying a clock speed of 1000 might help.
That's fine, you can gradually increase the clock speeds in 25mhz increments and test.

Don't be too concerned about temperatures once you hit 85°C. As long as voltage isn't affected, the main risk is a crash (usually).
Sorry for the -1
😀
It starts at 880mV and stays around 1100mV under full load. Should I be concerned if it rises?
How much should I increase the current settings? Should I try boosting clock speed up to 1000?

It maintains 880mV and stays steady at 1100mV under full load. Should I be concerned if it exceeds this?
How much should I adjust beyond the current settings? Trying a clock speed of 1000 might help.
That's fine, you can gradually increase the clock speeds by 25mhz and check.

67 is perfectly fine, seems like you have a good amount of headroom to push it more, its worth a try. Worry when its like 85.
Well it goes from 880mV and stays at 1100mV at full load. Should i worry when it goes over?
How much should i go over the current settings? Should i try with clock speed at 1000?
Thata fine, you should increase clock speeds by 25mhz at a time and test.
Well that was the maximum. 900 and 3400 if i go up even by 10 will appear artifacts
The GT630 performs well overclocking but may not match the GTX750. It functions adequately at 720P resolution. NVidia claims it can sustain 98*C and 65W.
