GPU Overclock
GPU Overclock
I used asus's OC scanner on my RX 2080 O8C and it showed a boost of 500 MHz (from 1515 to 2050) with suggested speeds between 1800-1900 MHz. This is typical for GPU overclocking, but at these rates could it affect stability or cause damage? I'm new to the topic so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Couldn´t locate a specific option, but the typical boost (turbo) should be around 1890MHz, so another 160MHz overclocking is expected, which is also standard for an auto tuning tool. If the voltages and power were increased as well, it might shorten the GPU's lifespan.
Could increasing the voltage to 200-300 volts shorten the card's lifespan?
