The setup shows strong signs of a PCIe 4.0 x8 connection for the GPU despite reports suggesting PCIe 4.0 x16. I’ve tested resetting the board, checked sockets, and verified compatibility with different drives, but nothing confirms the issue persists. The CPU appears healthy, and the GPU works well in another system. It seems the bottleneck might be on the motherboard or driver side. Upgrading to PCIe 5.0 would likely resolve this, but if not, consider replacing the board or CPU.

Have you considered adjusting it to x16? It seems unclear to me, but you confirmed no SSDs are interfering with the GPU. Reach out to ASUS if needed, as it appears there might be a problem with your board.

The board offers just two options: Auto and 8x/8x. The description mentions 'Auto' as x16, which aligns with what I expected. I had worried about NVMe in M.2_1 possibly interfering, similar to other boards, but it wasn't an issue. Thanks for the clarification.
