At the start of each day or after roughly eight hours of inactivity, everything functions properly and launches normally; all components on the board are recognized accurately, and the GPU matches the correct PCI revision and link width. A 3D stress test completed throughout the day ran smoothly. The issue emerges when attempting to hibernate, resume, restart, or shut down, followed by a restart after about six to eight hours. In this scenario, the dedicated GPU isn’t detected in BIOS or Windows, yet the system boots using the integrated GPU and its specific monitor, with all other features operating correctly. When accessing BIOS, I can view two direct PCIe connections to the CPU—one M.2 slot and another Gen 5 x16 slot—which display a Gen 4 x16 link speed, but this disappears after a reboot. I have three monitors: one connected via the integrated GPU and the others via the dedicated GPU; all function properly when linked to the iGPU. After rebooting, the center monitor (DVI) briefly wakes from sleep, appears to receive a signal from the GPU around three times before returning to sleep. The GPU fans are spinning, and I notice slight warmth on the heat pipes minutes after startup, indicating power delivery, though no part of the GPU feels excessively hot. No recent changes were made to the system at the time this began.

PC Specifications: CPU – Intel i7 12700k; Motherboard – Asus Prime Z690; RAM – 2x 2GB 16GB DDR4 (Gen 4); CPU Cooler – Antec Neptune 240; OS – Windows 11 and PopOS.

What I've attempted so far without adding anything extra (removed drives, USB devices) includes: disabling RAM XMP, cleaning contacts, adjusting RAM settings, reseating CPU, cleaning PCI connectors, lowering bus speeds, changing CPU ratio, forcing Gen 1-4 on the PCI slot, flashing a different VBIOS, and modifying BIOS options. I’ve also tried using other BIOS versions (1603, 1620, 2003, 2014) and performed various troubleshooting steps.

I’m open to suggestions on what might be wrong or additional checks I should perform. Also, could you share details about the BIOS and its boot behavior? Thanks for your help—I’m trying to fix this myself so the PC is ready for the day.
