I have the fractal torrent, an msi z690 tomahawk and a 3080 ti aorus master.
Uncertain if anyone else has encountered this issue, but when I connected my GPU to the motherboard, the clip connects to the PCIe slot but ends up near the rear mounting area on the case. There’s a photo showing what I’m describing.
The mounting spot on the case reaches its lowest point.
Is this a manufacturing defect? Can I resolve it myself? The backplate metal is very solid, so I’m not sure if it bends easily.

Appears to be okay. No apparent issues detected. Perhaps improving the image would better highlight the concern.

However, the pins aren't fully inserted into the PCIe slot. They're visible from above.

When you insert the GPU into the slot, you should feel a click. Avoid applying too much pressure.

I detect a "click" that's quite weak. However, during bench testing without a case, it becomes a clearer and stronger "click!" which suggests the issue might be with how it fits into the PCIe slot.

Definitly it is case problem. Send me the picture whole part where are pcie covers. I got similar problem when I noticed gpu sag. After I properly mount gpu I saw not paraller line gpu with case, but gpu no sagging. Sorry on my english, I hope you understood.

Did you mount the motherboard directly into the case without using standoffs? That seems like the main issue here, aside from a very large case design problem.

it's unclear what image you were looking for, but here are a few alternatives.
the GPU requires more shutdowns, but the backplate on the case is blocking that.
this bracket on the GPU is difficult to see in the picture; the braces aren't aligned properly and one is slightly further out than the other.

the case had existing standoffs already, and the motherboard IO bracket fits perfectly in its slot without any misalignment. I believe the standoffs aren’t the issue.
