Purchased a new gaming PC about a month ago. Updated my GPU from RX 580 to 3070. Recently, I’ve noticed sudden loss of display output while gaming. It sometimes restarts and other times stays on without any visuals. After reseating the GPU, it recovers, but the issue reappears within hours. Inspected the PCIe socket—it shows some plastic separator damage. Concerned about whether my motherboard’s PCIe slot is faulty. Need advice.
It doesn’t seem good—do you have another full-length slot available for testing the GPU? Or would the existing one work? Either way, I’m hoping to replace the motherboard if it’s only been around a month.
It's the sole complete slot available on your motherboard. Can manufacturers fix it under warranty if it gets damaged by accident?
Have you explored the previous graphics card? I would consider it, only to confirm if the problem lies with the motherboard.
