Hey everyone, I just assembled a PC for a friend using these parts: Motherboard – Gigabyte Aorus Ultra B650i, CPU – Ryzen 7 9700X, RAM – Corsair Vengeance 32GB (16x2) at 6000MT/s, PSU – Corsair SF850, GPU – Gigabyte RTX 4070 Super (bought new in August 2024, used daily until last week), Case – Fractal Terra (link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xGF9Yd). The problem is that occasionally—especially while gaming—the monitors go black, the system crashes, and the GPU fans spin up to maximum. I think it might be related to the GPU, but I've already tried many fixes: testing RAM one at a time, swapping slots, disabling EXPO/XMP, removing the PCIe riser, forcing Gen 3 slots, disabling resizable BAR, updating/reinstalling drivers. What helped: swapping in an old EVGA 980ti gave no issues, and the new Gigabyte RTX 5090 also worked perfectly. The RTX 4070 Super only caused crashes in this build, but it functions fine in my original PC and other GPUs. I’m still unsure what’s causing it. Anyone experienced with this setup has seen similar issues? Could it be a compatibility issue with the B650i board, power delivery, or BIOS settings? Any suggestions would be really helpful!
Attempt DDU and reinstall your GPU drivers. If that fails, your graphics card may be damaged—consider warranty repair here: https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-...-download/ Link for download.
